For lightly loaded structures, where the physical limitations of a property or location would make the use of our larger piling systems impractical, a specialist scaled-down version of our piling rig can be utilised. This approach is commonly employed where there is low headroom or restricted access. This mini piling equipment can be used both internally and externally, making it a really valuable tool for 4Site.
We have many years’ experience in mini piling and its use is becoming more widespread, particularly in structures with foundation depths greater than 2m. A typical piling process incorporates piled rafts or ground beams to eliminate the need for excessive excavation and also reduces the risk of a trench collapse, which is inherent in deep strip foundations. Another advantage of the piled raft method is the reduction in the amount of concrete required, which has a number of benefits including our customers seeing a favourable effect on cost, and the process being significantly less harmful to the environment.
